Finance & Controlling Trainee

We're looking for an enthusiastic and analytically-minded Finance & Controlling Trainee to join our dynamic team in Weert, Netherlands. In this trainee role, you'll gain comprehensive exposure to financial management, controlling, and business analysis while working alongside experienced professionals. • Collaborate with the Finance & Controlling team on diverse projects, including new product line development, financial tracking, and margin analysis
• Support the monitoring and financial analysis of customer projects, identifying risks and opportunities for optimization
• Assist in developing and implementing internal control measures to strengthen financial governance
• Participate in monthly financial reporting and analysis to ensure the organization maintains financial visibility and performance targets
• Work cross-functionally with sales, procurement, production, project management, engineering, and human resources departments to provide financial insights and recommendations
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the continuous enhancement of financial operations
• Engage with international colleagues to support global financial coordination and reporting
• Conduct financial analysis on cost implications, process improvements, and return on investment for organizational initiatives
• Support the plant controller in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

• Completed HBO or Master's degree in Business Economics, Controlling, Finance, or a related field
• 0-2 years of professional work experience, with demonstrated initiative and leadership in previous roles
• Practical experience in finance or controlling through internships, part-time positions, or relevant academic projects
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
• Proficiency with Excel and financial software; willingness to learn additional tools
• Excellent attention to detail and organized approach to managing multiple priorities
• Pragmatic mindset with the ability to think critically and solve complex financial problems
• Self-aware and reflective, with the capacity to receive feedback and continuously improve
