Your duties

Key Responsibilities:

Design electrical control systems for packaging machinery using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
Develop and write machine software using Rockwell, Beckhoff, and Zenon.
Conduct control system safety analysis using Sistema.
Attend specification meetings with customers and provide expert input on electrical design aspects.
Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure fully coordinated designs.
Complete engineering designs on time and within cost targets.
Carry out risk assessments on machinery and ensure compliance with CE, National Electric Code, CSA, and UL requirements.
Write and develop PLC, Servo Motion, HMI, and Safety controller code for machine control.
Commission packaging machinery at Syntegon and customer sites.
Provide technical support, including occasional on-site assistance.
Lead projects when working with multiple engineers.
Identify, research, and evaluate new technologies.
Travel domestically and internationally as required (valid passport and driving licence necessary).

Your profile

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
10+ years of Electrical and Software Engineering experience, preferably in the Packaging industry
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN, and programming using Rockwell, Beckhoff, and Zenon software
Experience with control system safety analysis using Sistema
Working knowledge of CE, National Electric Code, CSA, and UL requirements
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead projects
Valid passport and driving licence for domestic and international travel
