Syntegon Packaging Solutions B.V., located in Weert, is part of the Syntegon Group. In Weert we are Center of Competence for vertical form, fill and seal machines within the Syntegon Group. Here we develop and produce technologies for a wide range of food and non-food products, including stand-alone machines and system solutions with various process steps from weighing and dosing to vertical bagging, cartoning, case packing, and palletizing.
Are you passionate about turning complex customer needs into seamless, multi‑site packaging solutions? As Technical Sales Manager for Line Solutions you’ll orchestrate contributions from Syntegon sites to deliver end‑to‑end projects that delight customers. This highly visible, strategic role focuses on long‑term project sales, close customer relationships and strong cross‑functional coordination, requires significant experience in international sales (10–15 years).
Your responsibility
You will own the commercial and technical positioning of our Line Solutions portfolio and act as the primary link between regional sales, production sites and customers to secure high‑quality, turnkey solutions.
- Develop and grow sales for Syntegon’s seamless line solutions across multiple sites.
- Serve as the main contact for regional sales, production and customers to support the Lead‑to‑Order process.
- Translate customer needs into orchestrated, end‑to‑end solutions that combine site know‑how and equipment.
- Build application and market knowledge to improve hit rates and reduce project risk.
- Promote innovations and sales tools to standardize best practice and empower front‑line teams.
Your tasks
You’ll lead the commercial phases of line projects, provide on‑site and regional support, and shape go‑to‑market positioning to maximize success.
- Act as a reliable technical and commercial partner for production sites, sales offices and customers on line projects.
- Drive global line project sales to achieve targets and manage program risks.
- Guide regional sales toward ideal opportunities (the “sweet spots”) to improve conversion.
- Define go‑to‑market strategy and product positioning for the existing machine portfolio.
- Initiate and lead development of practical sales tools, playbooks and application innovations.
This highly visible, strategic role focuses on long‑term project sales, close customer relationships and strong cross‑functional coordination, and requires significant experience in international sales (10–15 years). Fluency in German and English is required; French and Spanish are a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (or commercial degree with demonstrable technical affinity) and strong project sales skills.
- 10–15 years’ experience in international B2B project/line sales, ideally in food packaging, automation or capital equipment.
- Proven track record in managing complex, multi‑site projects and driving long‑term commercial relationships.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken); French and Spanish are advantageous.
- Excellent customer focus and communication skills, with an entrepreneurial commercial attitude.
- Flexible, non‑9‑to‑5 mindset with readiness for regular on‑site presence across locations and travel of approximately 50%.
