Syntegon Packaging Solutions B.V., located in Weert, is part of the Syntegon Group. In Weert we are Center of Competence for vertical form, fill and seal machines within the Syntegon Group. Here we develop and produce technologies for a wide range of food and non-food products, including stand-alone machines and system solutions with various process steps from weighing and dosing to vertical bagging, cartoning, case packing, and palletizing.
As Controller at Syntegon, you are responsible for the financial management of our site. You translate complex financial data into strategic insights for management, lead the finance team and support high-level decision-making. You operate in a dynamic international service and production environment, and you are decisive, ethical and strong at persuading and motivating people.
What will you do?
In this role you are the financial conscience of the site and lead the Finance & Controlling department. You ensure that financial processes run smoothly and that management always has access to reliable, high-level information. Your main tasks are:
- Leading and developing the finance team, including coaching, motivation and team growth.
- Managing financial processes, reporting and internal controls; translating data into management information.
- Budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring and performance analysis using SAP and Power BI.
- Advising the Management Team (MT) and department heads, including conducting robust discussions and persuading at a strategic level.
- Optimizing processes and implementing improvement projects in a service and production environment using Lean methodologies.
What do you bring?
To succeed in this role you combine financial expertise with leadership and persuasive skills. You are able to inspire and motivate management and your team while working strategically and analytically. In addition, you bring:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Business Economics or equivalent; Master’s is a plus.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably with management experience and experience growing teams.
- Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills; fluent in English, good knowledge of German is a plus.
- Decisive, ethical, strategically minded and strong at persuading and motivating people.
- Experience with SAP and Power BI; familiar with Lean and process optimization.
